The CIA has now found evidence that Russian hackers who were responsible for the massive leaks of information related to the democratic party also had access to GOP information but refrained from leaking it. They have also found evidence that the Russian government was funding "troll farms" to purposefully circulate falsified news stories about presidential nominee Clinton. These two discoveries allow a substantial possibility that help from the Russian government could have easily swayed the recent United States presidential election in favor of President Elect Donald Trump. It is also warned that speculating about the foreign policy of other countries can be dangerous and misleading, but that this evidence is pretty damning.
Although this was a theory for many before, this is the first concrete evidence that has been released substantiating that Trump's victory may have been aided by a little more than just the democratic process. Trump has been arguing that the only reason Clinton won the popular vote was that the voting system in America is broken but also states that he won fair and square based on the electoral college system. Which is the truth? It can't be both. Even if Trump did not directly illicit this assistance, this sort of shady behavior is not becoming of a President Elect. This can be synthesized to the Civil War where the support of Britain and France (or lack there of) greatly affected the outcome of the conflict.
