Recent studies with St. Luke's University Hospital Network have suggested that marijuana use has the potential to weaken the heart muscles, especially in young men. However, five more states recently voted to legalize recreational marijuana use. The study claims that the muscle that is weakened, is the muscle that helps the heart pump. This weakness can be triggered by stress or grief of a loved one.
Medicines have exponentially risen significantly over the years of history. It is important for doctors to fully research certain drugs that citizens use. Just like several deathly diseases that killed off whole territories, drugs can still kill an abundance of people. Although medicine has obviously increased and helped the entire world's health, it is important to fully look into something before making it a legal substance to use in America.
could this be the case with only a few patients or many?
ReplyDeleteMarijuana is often described as "the the tobacco" Now we are fully aware of the dangers that smoking exhibit. But. people are allowed to choose for themselves if they are willing to take that risk. Perhaps the same will be done in the future for pot.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more studies about this for the many people that are using the drug to help with their illnesses so they can be informed to make a decision wether or not it is worth it to them.
