The aftermath of the election has caused an inflation in social media over the matter and the nation has truly been divided, we don't often hear the other side and more often than not, we don't want to. And as for Donald Trump, on the topic of the elite, the people who set the cultural norm without their input, in this case this is not him. On the religious side we see that 81% of Evangelist voted for Trump as well as the majority of Mormons, White Christians, and Protestants. As far as Immigration and boarder control Trump insists on building a wall where as Hillary wanted open boarders. Trumps vow to "Make America Great Again" creates competing visions of America today and its future. The idea that Trump supporters were use to his exceedingly questionable comments created the idea of being offended as the "Blue" concept.
The creation of the two party system has constantly divided America and I don't think well see the end to it any time soon. America is truly divided, but not necessarily the red and blue, more so the Pro-Trump and Anti-Trump. Its become the only topic of conversation, and frankly we've heard it all. There has become a dividing line between the ignorant and the rest of America. Our new president relates to the nasty, racist Andrew Jackson and makes me think of George Washington's Farewell Address in warning us to not have political parties, for today we now deal with the division of our country and people.
