Summary:
This article is an interview with Bernie Sanders over questions about the recent presidential election. He starts to talk about his very dislike for Trump and though Hillary would have won 2 to 1. He says Donald Trump doesn't have any proposals of how he will ' make america great again'. He wants people to stop gossiping over the candidates and focus on important issues like paid family leave and money for students to go to college. As he supports Trump's protests across the U.S. saying" We have a First Amendment. People are angry. People are upset. And they want to express their point of view that they are very frightened,". He also questioned the Electoral Collage because Trump didn't get the popular vote. And at the end of the interview as the question is asked if he will try and run again for president. Bernie responds by that he may fly to the moon. With the interviewer confused Bernie says " If Elon Musk (founder of Space X) called me, I could go to Mars. See you're wrong. I'm going to make Mars a progressive planet. I'll be there first, planting the flag. People don't think big enough!"
Analysis:
This interview with Bernie Sanders written by Susan Page on November/13/2016 talks about the new president, electoral college, and Bernie's views over the entire situation. This can affect people who voted for Bernie to feel better and not as stressed out about the election. For me, I like Bernie and his views, if he runs again on 2020 our generation of people will be able to vote. We are the generation of people with Feel the Bern and supporters of him. It's scary to think we are the people to decide our nation after Donald Trump and hope that he isn't re-elected again. I think that the protests are great. A lot of people say 'it won't help' and 'there's nothing that you can do' but, I think differently. As Bernie said we have the first amendment, freedom of speech. We have the right to stand for what we believe in and let it be heard to the whole country. Why should we be silent and think it is okay? Let your voice be heard, this is America. This article can relate to the election of 1800 with Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr. With the country being divided in half with two very different politicians.

I liked your connection to the election of 1800 at the end. I also agreed with the point that Bernie is trying to make here. Stand up for yourself and make a difference if you believe in something.
