Izzy Brown- Students Stage Walkouts in Protest

Summary: Students around the country walked out of class in protest to recent presidential win for Donald Trump. Most of these students were ones that could not vote. They all organized thse walkouts through social media. One student said that they protest to show Trump that his hate and bigotry will not be tolerated. While most anti-Trump protests have been peaceful, one of them had ended with violence and the arrest of 71 people.

Analysis/Synthesis: Trump's presidential win has cause an uproar across America. Saying some people are a little upset would be an understatement. Not only are adults upset, but teens are getting involved too because they know it's their future. While I think this was an interesting way to protest, I also think that students should protest outside of school hours so that they don't waste their education. Many are telling people to stop being sore losers about Trump's win, yet those same people were the ones angry when Obama was elected. How the tables have turned.

  1. I believe strongly in developing a good education for our youth, but at the same time I highly encourage people to stand up for what they believe in. I like what you had to say about it, and think I would agree for the most part.
