Summary- Janet Reno was the first female US attorney general. She served in the White House under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 2001. She passed away Monday in her home in Miami-Dade County, Florida at the age of 78 from a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Reno was first diagnosed with Parkinson's at the early age of 57. She paved the way for women in this position which is currently held by a woman.
Analysis - This article was written by Max Blau with CNN. This article was written to inform the reader about Janet Reno and the importance she had as US attorney general. I didn't know who Janet Reno was before reading this article nor did I know of the position she held until now but I am glad to see women like herself paving the way for women in our future.
