76.5 pound fish dispute turns toward federal judge- Camryn Stafford

summary:
The prize for "the world's largest billfish tournament" is $2.8 million. So when someone one the 76.5 pound fish and changed the time fro 8:15 to 9:30 there was a hint of suspicion. Although the "winner" failed two lie-detector tests he claims to have only changed the time to "reflect the correct time." A federal judge is being pulled in because the organizers of the tournament want to disqualify Heasley and redistribute the money elsewhere.

analysis:
The controversy was first published on the Baltimore Sun and therefore may be biased toward baltimore and a little against the florida visitor. The dispute seems very serious considering the fact that the competition was in august and there is still talk about it. It being four months proves that the case may be more complicated than it seems. I've heard of fishing competitions before but never one with a $2.8 million prize attached to one. This competition can be synthesized to the controversy of the slave auctions and the extreme importance placed on the back of them.
