Pope comes to New York - Olivia Lambert

The Pope has decided that he will be visiting New York in addition to Philadelphia and Washington. Reporters have stated that The Pope is a symbol of solving the issues of social justice and income inequality. The United States could not be more blessed and humbled to know that the Pope will be returned to their land in Spetember of this year.

I think it's extremely important to have that relationship of the U.S. with the Pope. As the huge, succesfull country we are, it's great to keep healthy relationships with other countries and territories. In the beginnings of the Gilded Age, many immigrants from China and new Europe were coming to the U.S. in search of new jobs and a better life. New inventions were being created and life in the US was changing and the immigrants expected a glamorous life and that's not exactly what they received but they tried. I think it's great that other country's people are still willing to come to US today because it shows we are a strong nation.

  1. I think it's great that United States is getting along with some parts of the world. This is such a happy event in contrast to so many other devastating events that are happening right now.

  3. I think it's fantastic that the Pope is making an extra visit while in the U.S. and that he's maintaining the vatican's ties.

  4. This is a step in the right direction for the U.S, considering when we were colonies, we persecuted the Catholics. Now, in the 21st century, we are an accepting and tolerable nation that is welcoming the Pope with open arms. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out of his visit.
