34 year old woman Latasha Wilson was arrested for theft of an ambulance car that was parked outside of a Dallas hospital. Authorities said no one was in the ambulance car and police were able to use location-tracking technology to find the ambulance 10 miles from the hospital. Wilson told FOX4 "There was an ambulance there. It was, like, vacant so I opened the door and there was the keys. I was like 'Damn, really?' Next thing I knew I was in there driving." She didn't see it as much of a problem and believes the accusation of theft is incorrect because she was just borrowing the vehicle to get home. She was surprised she got stopped because she made a pit stop to buy cigarettes and was almost home before they stopped her.
This relates to APUSH because when it involves many people together as a community, we can't do things on our own. For example; presidents. They can't go around doing whatever they please. They have to communicate with others and make sure it's okay. Every one of us all have the same rights. Some people believe they have more rights than given and may take the "pursuit of happiness" too far. I feel like what she did was wrong and she wasn't fully thinking. Hopefully they'll be able to figure something out on her case.
This is really funny. I feel like she thought she wouldn't get caught, and so she wanted to do something that you could only get away with in an action movie. The lesson is, think before you act.
ReplyDeleteOk what, like why did this even happen. I mean I honestly would like to know her thought process before ding this!
ReplyDeleteI laughed, but I also feel bad for laughing because maybe this woman has a mental illness or some deformity in which the part of her brain that indicates consequences hasn't formed or is hindered. Elizabeth Muscari 6th
