Michael Johnson convicted of disappearance and a second degree murder of a young girl in 2010; that has been released and all charges dropped by a judge in Baltimore. The young girls body was found floating in a near by river with no clothes on. She was in town to visit her older sister and stepped out to get something to eat and never came back. Her sisters ex boyfriend a year later was convicted of her murder but dropped because of insufficient evidence. Now his final trial is over and all chargers were dropped, now no one knows who really killed the innocent 16 year old girl.

It is definitely upsetting that the suspected murderer got out because of a technicality. Things like these make me wonder if the US needs to add/revise to the police code of conduct...
ReplyDeleteI think that there are many flaws in the United States' justice system, and there have been ever since it first began. (Dred Scott is a good example) We definitely should advocate improvements in the system in order to ameliorate these types of controversial problems.
