ISIS sympathizers hacked the Twitter and Youtube accounts for the US Central Command Monday afternoon. Supposedly no classified information or military networks were accessed, but both channels have been temporarily suspended from the internet.
The first tweet from the hacked account stated, "AMERICAN SOLDIERS, WE ARE COMING, WATCH YOUR BACK. ISIS." The profile picture of the account changed to a person in a Keffiyeh, and images of Pentagon documents/classified information were apparently linked on the account. The Youtube channel was uploaded with ISIS propaganda videos.
Approximately 45 minutes later, both accounts were taken offline, and are suspended until the situation is looked into by the FBI.
Cyberattacks and cyberterrorism are becoming increasingly common in the 21st century as modern technology becomes an increasingly prevalent form of communication.
It's frightening how easy it is for people/organizations to hack into social media accounts today. If government central command centers are being hacked into, it seems almost inevitable before classified information is being accessed by terrorist groups to harm the American people. In addition, it is quite truly an infringement of the people's privacy that seems almost unregulated, even with respect to the Fourth Amendment. How do we alter our Constitution to protect the American people in the ever-growing, ever-changing 21st century? How do we protect our country from terrorist groups using modern technology as a means of weaponry/instillment of fear?

This is terrifying. I do like your point on altering the constitution, only what would we even change? Would it help to protect us? We do need to do something with all this modern technology, who knows what could happen...
