Analysis:
Disease outbreaks happen all over U.S. History, and it's impacts can clearly be seen through the large numbers of lifes that are taken by it. For example the Smallpox epedimic in New England. This happened mainly to the Native American's, who had no immuinity to the disease and lived in pretty close quaters. So, very similar to how Disney Land has large numbers of people, many who likely do not have as much of an imuunity as others, all packed into the park. Therefore, disease can spread very rapidly.
Not many would expect to get the measles from a simple visit to Disney Land. It's incredibly unfortunate that it was spread this way. I hope they find a way to stop it from spreading further.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think that it would've been stopped immediately after being discovered. Especially with the technology of our era and the great improvements we've made in the field of medicine.
ReplyDeleteYeah... That needs to be taken care of. Disease has had such an effect on our history. Poor Indians. They got hit with It multiple times.
