Blizzard-like conditions are coming into the northeast that could easily drop a foot of snow. The storm system reports that is will begin late Sunday night and will greatly intensify on Tuesday. "There's the potential for a significant snowstorm to impact the entire Northeast U.S," says meteorologist Patrick Maloit. The storm could remain in the northeast before setting out to the sea, bringing high wind, heavy precipitation and the potential for coastal flooding. There have been reports of numerous accidents on the roads already but no major highway backups. Reporters say that children may be at home if the weather gets really bad, canceling school until the weather conditions are safe enough to return.
This just made me think in history of the times when people had to work know matter the weather condition. Slaves, workers in the factories including children all had to perform their duty rain or shine. The weather can be really dangerous so it is good we have protocals to follow in this day and time to protect the lives of people.
