Flu season is back and it's higher than how it was last year. 45 pediatric deaths have occurred so far this year. That's why it's stressed for us to contact our doctors once the symptoms begin so we can receive help in the form of an antiviral and can shorten the amount of time that we're sick. Many doctors don't prescribe antivirals though because it doesn't cure the flu. Now they're trying to make a universal vaccine and it's purpose is to keep us protected for up to 20 years. Some say it required insight and technology thanks to the technology they didn't have 5 years ago. Although this research is advanced, it's still years away from being available to us.
This relates to APUSH because back then, they didn't have the technology we had today to research diseases and illnesses. Speaking of back then, they hardly even have technology to begin with. How far we've advanced is honestly extraordinary. We've found cures and developed medicines and this is just the beginning. I hope they get closer to finding the universal vaccine so it can be available to us soon.
That's good, but I bet the vaccine will cost an arm and a leg:/

It's a good thing we want to go the next step, but I feel like it's gonna take longer than a few years.
