Update on the AirAsia Flight- Hannah Clifford 5th Period

http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/11/asia/airasia-disaster/index.html

New information about the AirAsia flight came in recently. The plane's "blackboxes" were found under the wreckage of the wings in the Java Sea. These record the whereabouts of the plane and everything that was happening to it. As time goes on, more information will be revealed as the recordings are recovered. There were also tapes from the pilots that were found but not yet removed from the wreckage that will give us great insight. A piece of fact that was uncovered was that the plane exploded on impact.

This was written by Jethro Mullen and David Molko for CNN to update the ongoing case of the AirAsia fight. There was another plane that went missing last year and that is what this article reminds me of. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the other plane was found. Most bodies on this flight are still missing and that is terrifying. I'm sure there were other events in our American history such as Amelia Earhart's disappearance. Stories like this are always unsettling.

  1. They are unsettling but the fact of the matter is every time you set foot in a vehicle of any kind you put your life at risk and while there is no reason to fear that it still does happen occasionally...

  2. As Harrison stated anything could happen. It was a tragic loss and I hope that we can learn from this incident and improve airplane safety procedures.
