"Marathon Bombing Suspect Waits in Isolation" (Melissa Kurtzman, 5th Period)

Summary: Dzokhar Tsarnaev has been held in a federal medical center almost in complete isolation since he was found after the Boston Marathon Bombings, a year ago Tuesday. Tsarnaev is accused of planning and carrying out the attacks with his brother, Tamerlan, who was killed while trying to escape from police. Tsarnaev is only allowed to be visited by his legal team, mental health consultants, and his close family (who don't visit often). With a trial date set for November, the legal teams were given 19 months to prepare for the trial which has been predicted to last for at least three months. Tsarnaev's defense team is said to be debating whether or not they should try to argue whether or not Tsarnaev has a mental illness.
Analysis: It's still so sad to think about the Boston Marathon Bombings. I didn't realize that the trial was still so far away but I guess it's good because both sides have tons of time to collect all of the evidence they need. I hope that the case goes smoothly and that justice is administered fairly.

I think it should be sooner because this has been a growing problem.
