Summary:

Analysis:Written by Alia E. Dastagir and published 9:39 a.m. May 3, 2019 then updated at 3:01 p.m. I did not know about either of these cases but the fact that the two were basically let off the hook for there crimes the same day is preposterous. This same week on tuesday Steve Van Wagenen pleaded guilty to the sexual abuse of a child. The difference is Wagenen will be officially sentenced July 2 while the others get probation and or be registered as a level one sex offender. The article was written as a response to the injustice as it furthers goes into detail of what occurred and how the victims and others felt about the decision. The author has made it even more obvious that our system is corrupt and falls short on many cases.

I agree, and i think it's concerning on the fact that people are being left off the hook for committing crimes that need jail time.
ReplyDeleteIt's awful that people can be locked up for minor drug offenses but not for violent crimes.
