Daviah Harrison-Whole foods plastic straw ban
This article was written by Jordan Valinsky and was last updated on May 20,2019. This article is showing the positive impact that Whole Foods is making by banning plastic straws in all 500 stores unless it is upon request from people with disabilities. By the beginning of July, they will start offering paper straws. They will also reduce the use of plastic by using smaller plastic bags and new bags for their rotisserie chicken.Fish are predicted to be outweighed by plastic in 2050, so hopefully more people will join in solving this problem.
I am so glad that people who can help, are helping. Recently, it has been said that we are destroying our environment by using too much plastic and not recycling enough. Even though it may not seem like it is or will affect us, I am sure that we will face the consequences of this nothing is done.

This is a great step in the right direction. We need to start taking action to reverse the damage that has been done. While this is not enough to clean up the Earth, this is the beginning of a new time for our environment. Lily Philips
