NPR has conducted two surveys based on economic security in rural areas, and they found that over half of people rated their economy as fair or poor, and almost half struggle with paying routine bills like health bills and housing. A quarter of people haven't been able to access healthcare despite Medicaid expansion and the Affordable Care Act. Also, it's very hard for many people to pay for random expenses, like medical expenses or car repairs. Some people work incredibly hard but still have no savings in their accounts, and many older people live off of the Social Security Act.
While Affordable Care Act has really helped the rural community, there's still a long way to go. A lot of people either can't afford healthcare, they can't travel far enough to get it, or they couldn't make an appointment. Based off of these factors, we have to find a solution based off of these causes. The Affordable Care Act, also called Obamacare, was created by President Barack Obama, and Medicare was created by Lyndon B. Johnson for his "Great Society".

It is so awful how some people have just been completely forgotten in the pursuit of saving money. Id we keep doing things on behalf of the one percent, we'll completely leave behind the other ninety-nine percent.
