The most commonly noticed state for recent push of anti-abortion bills has been Alabama. Alabama has passed a bill that calls for doctors performing abortions to be treated as felons potentially serving the same or more time than rapists themselves. Mississippi passed a heartbeat bill, so has Ohio.Georgia, Kentucky, Arkansa, Utah and Iowa have all also passed similar bills. Other states have been pushing to pass bills as well.
For all of history, women have been pushing for rights, some of those rights being reproductive rights. Women have gone to prison for fighting for reproductive rights and it wasn’t until Roe V. Wade that women did get more reproductive rights. These bills could potentially retract those rights.
