As Robert Pattinson, most famous for the teen loving Twilight series, has recently been cast for the role of Bruce Wayne’s “Batman”. There has begun a set of petitions from fans of Batman asking to revoke the role from Robert. Many of the petitions focus on the fact that his most popular role was a vampire for teens to gush over, and an actor known for this would ruin their favorite superhero. All of these petitioners seem to be ignoring Roberts stronger roles such as Connie in “Good Time” and Eric in “Cosmopolis”. On the bright side none of the petitions have a wide range of supports with the highest ranking just under 5000.

Similar to politics, typically the ones who are paying attention understand the act of who is a strong contender and who is not. Focusing on one action of an individual shouldn’t always harm their career because the successes are what should be the focus to an extent. Obviously if there have been frequent mistakes or obvious sign of ineligibility then the contender will understandably be booted out. With Robert Pattinson most famous role being his worse role either make or breaking his career, politicians frequently live with the same struggle. We as supports need to do our best to look at every angle before making up our minds and opinions.

  1. I think it is unfair that people want to remove the actor from playing Batman, they didn’t even give him a chance. ~ Stephannie Hernandez

    1. I agree with you. I understand why people are so upset about the recent casting, but I feel that they are not considering the other roles he has played. It is an actor’s job to play different roles to embody the character. Lily Philips
