A Tennessee pastor was found guilty of multiple counts of rape of his 14-year-old daughter. He was only sentenced to 12 years in prison instead of a minimum of 72 because the judge saw the apparently good Christian work he did.
This article was obviously written from a point of view that does not favor the pastor. It uses derogatory language to get the point that they disapprove of the sentencing across. The unfortunate part is that at this point no one that will read this is going to be surprised at the more horrific part of the article. Instead, they will focus on the 12-year punishment, because the other problem has become an epidemic in our country. This can, of course, be related to the women's rights movement, because women do not deserve to be treated in this manner just as much as men don't.
