Isadora Lilly- Businesses show teachers a little love

This week, in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, which takes place from from May 6 to May 10, businesses are showing teachers a little love, with some restaurants offering free meals, deals, and discounts. The best deals of the week will appear on Tuesday of this week, also known as Teacher Appreciation Day, or National Teachers Day.

This reminds me of major sales during other holidays of appreciation, such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. It’s definitely nice to be able to find fun and helpful deals during such a holiday, yet I find it funny how these holidays and the people they celebrate are in a way taken advantage of in terms of advertising.
