Firefighters responded to a 911 call for a car fire, only to find a toddler in the back seat. After inspection, they found the child's father in a pond nearby trying to get flames off of himself. The man and his wife have been struggling for custody with domestic abuse complaints filled on each other. The child died due to its burn injuries, but the father survived and is in custody of the police.
This article was fairly short with sources cited unspecifically. The purpose of this article was most likely to get information out on a small tragedy quickly for general knowledge purposes, whit opportunity for expansion later. I was captured by this article because the author used no persuasive language, but I still ended up distrusting the father. There is a possibility that certain circumstances made it essential to leave the child, but that seems extremely unlikely. This can be related to the invention of the Model T. by Henry Ford because without the invention of the car, the child wouldn't have been stuck.
