While America is the most prosperous country in the world, giving birth is still dangerous. 1 out of 7 newborn babies are statistically proven to be born underweight, or under 5.5 pounds. To add on to that, 1 out of 3 mothers are predicted to get a C-section. It has gotten better though, since teen births have gone down %61 since 1991.
The main killer of newborn babies comes from diabetes. However, only 7 in 100,00 babies will die after birth. Diabetes is a huge problem in the United States, and can affect the health of the person with it, and their offspring.
