Married mother-of-two teacher, 29, pleads not guilty to charges of 'classroom sex' with her teen boy student- Taylor Knighton

A married mother-of-two High School teacher named Jill Lamontagne, in Maine, pleaded not guilty Monday to sex charges after accused of sleeping with a 17-year-old student. She pleaded not guilty to 14 charges, including six counts of gross sexual assault, two counts of unlawful sexual contact and six counts of sexual abuse of a minor, according to The Portland Press Herald. Lamontagne was indicted in October and also turned herself in authorities. Allegedly, the teacher had a relationship with a male student who was in her health class at Kennebunk High School at the time of their sexual contact. Mrs. Lamontagne categorically denies the charges,” Lamontagne’s lawyer stated. The alleged relationship between Lamontagne and the student was revealed when he was hospitalized following a suspected suicide attempt. Reportedly, the male student ingested a concoction of ibuprofen, Tylenol, cold medicine and blood thinner Warfarin.He reportedly told his mother and a nurse at the hospital that he loved Lamontagne and took the mixture of medicines to attempt suicide. Lamontagne was placed on administrative leave in June and later resigned in September and she is scheduled to appear in court on March 8 for a dispositional conference.


In my opinion, this is just terrible because to be in an influential and kind of powerful position as a teacher and use that power for your own personal gain is unjust and unfair to that student and his family. She should be put in jail for what she has caused this young boy and his family. That type of trauma lives on with a person for years and years. How can she do that to a child when she is a mother and has children of her own? How can anyone do that to anyone? As a community, we need to come together and talk about this issue and how it has a negative effect on families and victims for a lifetime.
