An ISIS inspired 27 year-old man set off a a minor rush hour explosion in New York. The suspect, Bangledeshi Akayed Ullah who lived in Brooklyn, had strapped a pipe bomb to his chest according to law officals. It is unclear if he detonated the explosives or if the device went off prematurely. Four people, not including the suspect, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the explosion.
This is not the only failed terrorist attack recently in the U.S. A fake bomb was given to Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis before atempting an attack. A man was sentenced to life in prision in 2012 for a failed underwater bomb attempt. I see the escalation in these terriost attempts and im glad the U.S. is finding ways to stop them.
