California Wildfires Have Destroyed 1,000 Structures - Taylor Townsend

     There was a devastating wildfire in California. One week after Thomas Fire exploded from a brush fire and firefighters had a hard time trying to contain it. The fire was larger than New York City. Firefighters were only able to contain 15% of the fire by Monday. But it's only one of six major wildfires torching the state, which have destroyed more than 1,000 structures.

     One man, Dr. Antonio Wong, lost two houses in two separate California wildfires. He, his wife, and his son barely had enough time to escape their house in Santa Rosa in time. When interviewed, Dr. Wong states how devastating it is for him and his family losing both of their homes within two months.
