Only two months ago Northern California got hit by massive wildfires that spread all over and resulted in awful effects. Many houses were burned down and many people got injured. And now, huge wildfires have sprung up in Southern California, causing many schools and families to be on watch and alert so that they can hopefully be better prepared for this than the last one. The current one growing is "The Thomas Fire", and it is right by Los Angeles. It grew about 31,000 acres within just nine hours. That is absolutely crazy. It is extremely dangerous because it is over the most extreme  amount of temperature. 98,000 residents in Southern California have already left and evacuated.

Hopefully they have learned new procedures and have taken better caution because of what has happened. This should be a sign that shows just how dry California is and how dangerous this can be. This relates to APUSH because it is a lot f trail and error, like how abolishment was. They had to learn and go through a bunch of different attempts of ending it until they finally "burned it out" and abolished it. This is meant for everyone, especially people with family members there to read. My sister is currently out there which has created a sense of fear for my parents.

  2. Why are the fires spreading so rapidly? It is incredibly sad and I hope they are able to get the fires under control.

  3. This is very scary that your sister is in California right now and I can't believe that 98,000 people have been evacuated.
