In the Alabama Senate race, Trump has shown support for Republican Roy Moore, regardless of sexual misconduct allegations against Moore, arguing that his vote is needed in congress. He tweeted, "Democrats refusal to give even one vote for massive Tax Cuts is why we need Republican Roy Moore to win in Alabama." Moore has faced several claims saying he sexually assaulted teenage girls decades ago, one including that he molested a girl when she was 14 and he was in his 30s. Even national republicans have called on Moore to step aside because of all the allegations, but Trump still supports him.
It's not surprising that someone like Trump would support someone like Moore, considering that both of them have many sexual harassment claims against them. There's sadly way too many people in a high position of power that get away with things like this and abuse the power they're given, and it really is disgusting. It's really unfortunate that there are people like this who run or help run our country.
