A so called "softer" position was taken on the Party Platform, the arming of allies and the weakening of the platform was avoided in this action. The issue has caught the eye of investors in congress and many of those who work for the justice department, because the idea of arming Ukrainians would further their conflict with the Russians and the Russian government. Diana Denman stated that a memeber of the national security aid, Gordon, told her he had discussed the issue with Trump, which was then proven false by him. He stated that he hadn't discussed it with Trump because "that's my job", he later denied to comment on the confusion as he didn't want to be a part of the 'he said she said' business with the media. Gordon stated that Donald Trump has had a long standing and clear position on Ukraine, he doesn't want a 3rd world war, and he wants better relations with Russia.
If you ask me, I think the trump administration could be doing much more to help, like the Obama administration, but *sips tea*, we all know that isn't going to happen.
