Summary:
Even though the two men have major idealistic and political differences, the prime minister of Canada- Justin Trudeau - and Donald Trump have come together to bridge some of their gaps. Their goal is to not come close to them while working together. When Trump called a halt to letting in foreign refugees, Canada has allowed them to come there for a safe place to live while the war in Syria is still going on. Both of the men did not make any comments on the others' decision about refugees. Canada had really close bonds with Obama, and they are unsure about Trump. The worry about losing economic ties with the US is a major concern of Trudeau. Despite their differences, both of the men seem to be keeping a mutual friendship.
Analysis:
I think that it is a genuine concern of Canada about losing ties with the US and being concerned about Trump, because they used to be so close with a very different man - Obama. I also think that it is very mature of both men to respect each others' differences and act professionally (we never see this from Trump, so it is strange).
