The article I read was about a mysterious cause of illness in children in MuZaffarpur, Bihar, India. These outbreaks were occurring in many children. They would have sights of fever and in some cases have seizures. Many kids were admitted in a hospital and A little less than a third of them died. Many people thought that the illnesses we from pesticides or malnutrition but it was later found that it was from the locally grown lychee. Many of the children entered into the hospital had eaten lychee in the past couple of days, and many of them had eaten a high amount of the fruit and them did not eat an evening meal leading to the symptoms to occur. This article was written by Juliet Perry, CNN staff.
This artcle was an informational peice and informs the reader.

How unfortunate is it that this is happening to those in India
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad, my heart goes out to them.
ReplyDeleteThat's awful. Still today, there are animals that have caused havoc and destruction to friends and families. We should be better at protecting children from such a simple thing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very disturbing article but I hope that it raises awareness.
