Summary: Trump made it very clear when he was campaigning that he wanted a ban on all Muslims from entering the country and now as president he has gone through with this statement by putting a restriction on seven Muslim-majority countries from being able to enter the US. Because this executive order is discriminating a certain religious group it is unconstitutional. This policy is marked as a "travel ban", but the official name is "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States."
Analysis/Synthesis: Regarding the official name and purpose of this ban, it seems as though Trump isn't acknowledging that terrorists are already in the US and aren't even Muslim. In fact white terrorists have killed more people than in the 9/11 attack. So it doesn't seem reasonable to instigate fear of a group of people when they aren't the ones to blame. Like in the article this policy is unconstitutional in the way that it "denies protection of non citizens who are Muslim and it promotes one religion over another". This policy is also breaking the 5th amendment by being biased towards a certain group and not guaranteeing equal protection.
