Summary: 188,000 people have been evacuated from several cities/counties in Northern California after it had been reported of damage at the Oroville Dam. This dam is the nations tallest dam and remains intact. However the emergency spillway was eroding Sunday. Evacuation was made because a light flow of water began flashing into emergency spillway.This prompted evacuation for cities and counties near lake Oroville. According to an official the worst case scenario was that the dam could send a 30 foot wall of water downstream. They waiting till Monday to better assess the situation. With more rain in the forecast officials of California are doing everything they can to prevent anymore damage to the dam.
