The issue of the Confederate flag is still that, an issue.
In Greene County, Tennessee there was a debate on whether or not they should
fly the Confederate flag at the Court House. Luckily 20 people voted no, but
there was one person who voted yes. The man who voted yes was Commissioner
Buddy Randolph, a 67-year-old politician (who should probably retire). Claiming
it is “just a part of history” Randolph says that ‘if people have a problem
with, it it’s their problem”. This view of history of course, is quite skewed
because Greene County was in fact, anti-Confederate.
Buddy Randolph was the ONLY person to vote in Greene County
to fly the Confederate flag outside of the city courthouse. Thankfully 20
people thought about modern politics and how our country runs today and decided
to vote against flying the flag. This one man, on the wrong side of whatever
messed up history he thinks he knows, voted to fly a flag that not only offends
people but also doesn’t even support his claims of history. Greene County Tennessee
didn’t even support the
Confederacy, that flag wasn’t even truly a part of their
history, idiot. I understand that many people think it should be shown, and I
agree, in a museum like Nazi flags are in Germany. It should be taught and
learned in schools, and obviously also in our government, because the leaders
who are running our country don’t even know what cities supported the
Confederacy! Learn your history people! It could just save you’re a** from
looking stupid in front of the entire country.
That man needs to do some damn research. -Jack Higgins Period 6

ReplyDeleteYikes! I hope he does some research and educates himself on the history of the Confederacy and what they stood for.
