"China Tried To Hack U.S. Firms Even After Cyber Pact" Nora Bracy 5th pd.

About a month ago, on September 25, President Obama met with Chinese president Xi Jinping, and agreed that neither government would support cyber spying or theft. A few American companies have recently been attacked by hackers associated with the Chinese government, based on the software used.

First off, I wanted to point out that the article never specifies whether this was just like an agreed upon thing, or a written document, etc. Was this like an official thing? It's kinda hard to expect a handshake to really change anything. Personally, if we are really struggling with cyber theft, we should try taking some real steps. People aren't gonna stop hacking if you just say please. It hasn't technically been 100% proven that the hackers were affiliated with the Chinese government, but it seems pretty dang obvious. Obama, though it's not the biggest problem we're dealing with right now, maybe we should talk a little more on cyber spying, because it is important, especially after the whole "The Interview" problem with North Korea.

  1. Man, the way they throw around the cyber spying concept is scary in itself. The fact that that are minimizing such a terrifyingly broad issue, is not good.

  3. this proves that the U.S cant put much trust or faith into this country, Cyber attacks are becoming more frequent and the government needs to be taking possibilities of future attacks very seriously.
