This article was written by Ben Tinker, CNN. The author sounds very passionate about this issue and did a thorough job of supplying all of the facts. For a long time i knew that what was in fast food/casual restaurants was not the best quality. But i had no idea that it was this bad. There were only two restaurants that received an A. I cant believe that restaurants just dont care what they produce, or how it affects the public. I wish we lived in a world where everything that was served to us was safe to eat, and healthy, but i wouldnt hold my breath. I think this article is very important for everyone to see. This article is showing us that we need to raise awareness and start making a change in what we put in our bodies. Fast food is becoming a huge part of the average American diet, and we should want to know what goes into it.

Darby McMahon pd#9 What's really in the meat you eat?
A new report about antibiotics in meat supply in the top 25 fast food restaurants is quite alerting. Most chains dont a have publically available policy to limit how much antibiotics are used in their meat and poultry. The farmers who administer antibiotics routinely to their livestock can cause a resistance from bacteria to these antibiotics. These bacteria can spread, and also means that the antibiotics in the meats we eat may not work. At least 2 million people contract antibiotic-resistant infections every year, and many even die. As people eat out more and more researchers wanted to look at the top 25 food chains and they're antibiotic use policies. Each restaurant was given a grade, and not surprisingly the top scorers were Panera and Chipotle who's meat was raised without antibiotics. Among the group of F graded restaurants were Wendys, Burger King, Dennys and Starbucks! But the worst were iHop, Jack in the Box, Olive Garden and Papa Johns. As the issue becomes more transparent the avaiablitiy of better meats will arise. Hopefully.
