Um, this is literally offensive and disgusting. "Students" (not really) have been accepting Pell Grants and not using them for school. If you didn't already know, Pell Grants are grants given to college students in the form of financial aid. But many students have been accepting the money, and not even taking classes. As a result, tuition for some colleges and universities will likely go up. I am so appalled. There are actual people out there who need that money to get higher education and people like these people are just taking it?? NO. That's so annoying and now future students will have to pay even more for college, as if it isn't already ridiculously overpriced, because of their stupid selfish decisions. I know times are getting tough out there but this is totally just the lazy way out. Not to mention that this is a FEDERAL grant. FEDERAL, which means WE, tax payers, pay for it! Last year alone taxpayers lost 1.2 billion dollars from these scammers. Crazy. And now when we go to college, we'll have to pay for it in $$$ :( Even more. Just add it to my unavoidable debt.
