Would it help? By Amanda Garcia

As everyone knows, in Newtown, Conneticut of the deadly killing of 27 children and adults in a local elementary school. This act was an awful tragedy, that will affect those families for the rest of their lives. However, now congress is debating on making a law on restricting the owning of guns. I do believe this would help our issue with the community latley, but then again I don't believe it would fix everything. Not everything bad in this world contained the use of a gun, like 9-11, or mostly during the Holocaust. These are both horrible events in our nations history that had nothing to do with guns. So even though I do support passing this law, I don't find it perfect to keep everything sane again.

  1. Not to mention that just because they make it illegal, doen't mean people won't still do it. There are bad people out there and I don't think making that law will completely fix the problem. In fact, I don't know if there is a way to fix it. Also, if the ownership of a gun is made illegal then people won't have a way to protect themselves. Let's say a killer buys a gun illegally, and comes to attack someone. If the victim has no way of protecting him or herself from being killed, THEN WHAT?
