Yesterday, Trump told his administration to research new regulations for the United States asylum process. He wants a fee for asylum applications and banned illegal immigrants from working while their claims go to court. His administration has 90 days to write up new rules. This comes from a recent increase in immigrant families crossing the southern border. Also, more than 800,000 asylum cases are still in line to have their day in court. Trump says this is needed to keep people from abusing the system.
