Pompeo Discusses Growing Iran Threat

En route to Sochi, Russia in order to meet with senior Russian officials, Secretary of State Pompeo spoke in Belgium about United States and Iran tensions. Pompeo made note of reported attacks on oil tankers off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, but a later account of his report did not include any information on whether or not the attacks were linked directly to Iran, but the connection is likely, what with heightened tensions between the two nations. Pompeo also encouraged Iran to talk instead of inciting threats.
This article was found on Reuters, a reliable source of information. I am rather uncertain about this whole discussion of US-Iran tensions, and to me, it almost seems like the US is stirring up tensions in order to have a casus belli of sorts against Iran in order to declare war on the country. This reminds me of when the United States military was intentionally provoking Libya's armed forces in order to remove Muhammar Qaddafi from power of the country.
