A formerly fuel tax- driven protest in France has now spiraled into anti-government sentiment as protesters destroy cars, restaurants, store fronts, historical monuments, and statues. Though this is French news and not US news, it’s still critical that we pay attention to it. France has been an ally of American since the birth of the country, and political movements have reflected each other through the years as well. As we revolted against Britain, France prepared its own revolution against its King. Now, if France is turning towards anti-government, anti-climate change ideas, perhaps we are as well.
