Indiana day care shut down after 1 year old beaten- Heaven-Leigh Pettis

Investigation shuts down Indiana Daycare

Jesse who is 1 years old was beaten by someone at a daycare in Indiana called the Kiddie Garden. When Jesse was picked up, he had a swollen lip, scars, and open scab wounds. His parents thought it was another child at the time but now 7 other violations of the daycare have come to light and they're not so sure. These violations include no drug screen completed for the caregiver, no consent form, no fingerprinting for the national background check. More violations include unqualified caregiver, 2 lack of supervision violations and child abuse not immediately reported by the caregiver.
Even though this specific daycare was shut down, other locations are still open by the same owner. Jesse's parents are determined to make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else's kids and are demanding for other locations to be investigated as well. I think that if you're working to take care of someone else's child, you should be making it your biggest priority to take care of them. If you don't think you can do that then you shouldn't be working at a daycare and if the abuser wasn't a kid, that person should be ashamed of themselves and they deserve whatever is coming to them. If it really was a kid, they need a whopping. :)
