A Florida high school is under fire after they had a live caged tiger at their prom. While it didn't violate any policies or laws, the treatment was inhumane. The tiger clearly exhibited signs of stress, Ron Magill, communications director of Zoo Miami, said after watching the video,"its ears were perpendicular to its head, in a classic display of stress and agitation amid the loud music and bright lights" Florida has been in hot water over animal treatment ever since a horse was forced into a club in Miami.
This connects to history, because improvements in animal treatment has to go along with the advancement of modern society. Animals have been used (in some cases) improperly for entertainment, and its good that things are being changed.

It's so sad that they would subject an animal to the horrors of a Florida prom.
