The governor of Oklahoma passed a new law on adoption many members of the LGBT community are calling discriminatory. The law would allow the agencies to choose not to place children in homes that “would violate the agency’s written religious or moral convictions or policies.” The law doesn't ban same sex couples from adopting children,“Instead, the bill will help continue Oklahoma’s successful placement of children with a broad array of loving families and basically maintain the status quo by setting forth in statute practices which have successfully worked for the best interest of Oklahoma children,”
In my opinion, the law is a load of crap. If the adoption agencies are trying everything to get kids adopted to safe, loving homes, why would they stop good people from adopting them? It seams like a selfish political move in hopes of boosting her career, that will end up hurting many good families.

While it's sad to see this type of legislation being passed I can't say that I am surprised. Many have thought that the country's stance on LGBT rights excludes the rights of the religious. Many of those same people fight to keep their rights.
