Melania Trump underwent kidney surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington, DC this morning (5-14-18). The surgery was successful and she is expected to stay at the hospital for the remainder of the week. Donald Trump wasn't in the hospital during the surgery.
I find it very odd that the president wouldn't be in the hospital to make sure that his wife was ok. I wonder what he thought was more important. This was the most significant procedure on the first lady since Nancy Reagan had a mastectomy in 1987.

Definitely odd he wasn't there, but not surprising. I hope Melania is getting an idea of how inattentive her husband is to her and finally realizes she should leave him.
