WHO preparing for the worst-case Ebola scenario
The World Health Organization (WHO) is preparing for this worst case scenario. There have been 34 cases of Ebola in the last five weeks. This is happening in the Democratic Republic of Congo.Three of the patients are health care workers.About 50% of people who become sick with this virus die. WHO is working with people in Congo trying to airlift supplies to these areas, and another organization is making doctors available to help contain these outbreaks.
This is so scary I wonder how the people in these areas are feeling. You never know when you might catch the virus. It is sad that they have to live in this fear. I hope they find a good successful way to contain it. Maybe a vaccine that everyone is required to get or something like that. Im not sure what the best answer is, however something has to be done.
