Gender gaps have played a role in history for as long as the economy has been around. women have always gotten paid less than men for doing the same jobs, quite possibly doing an even a better job simply because of their gender. Recently in London a law firm wanted to create more flexible schedules for women and for engineering, they want to create better ranking for women. So, in Britain, new rules have been made to require companies to publish their gender pay gap, which have created major debate. There is a median amount of 17.4% gap difference between prices. Overall, they are making big differences and strides in awareness.
This relates to APUSH because it brings awareness to the gaps between women and men still around, even after women's rights movement.
