US birth rates down

https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-births-hit-lowest-number-since-1987-1526529661

The birth rates in the U.S are lower than they have been in the last 30 years. Studies show women are not having babies as often as they used to and their has been a steady decline since 2010. Luckily an effect of this is that birthrates among teen moms have steadily fallen since 2007.
The U.S usually sees dips in birth rates after big economic events. We saw one after the Great Depression and also the Great Recession, so I'm not sure what's prompting this one. This is like a reverse of the baby boom that happened in the 50's. When there are too many old people and not enough children/working class adults this can create economic issue so hopefully going forward this works itself out.
